a fishing boat with engine trouble, the rescue crews this afternoon, Tuesday, introduced 8/10/2010. The cutter driving and drifting in the busy Elbe fairway about 10 miles (18 kilometers) northwest of Cuxhaven, where it obstructed the extremely large ships.
The rescue cruiser HERMANN MARWEDE / Station Helgoland of the German Maritime Rescue Service (GMRS), which was on its way from Cuxhaven to Helgoland, took the first boats on the hook, and dragged him out of the fairway. Incorporated
was the cutter (home port Greetsiel) from Cuxhaven Seenotkreuzer Hermann Helms. He dragged the car about 18 meters long with a crew of two, a safely to Cuxhaven.
In the early hours of the morning had opened the life-savers of the Hermann Helms to a nocturnal journey. Erin had a Neuwerk helplessly turned to the rescue crews, as their small dog was suffering from severe cramps. The Beagle was probably Aluminum foil eaten. From Cuxhaven the dog to a veterinary clinic Bremer was transported.
Neuwerk live on about 40 people. At low tide the island is by ship not available.
